On the 11th, Myung Tae-kyun, who has been arrested and indicted on charges of receiving money in exchange for nominations for National Assembly members, was questioned for two consecutive days at the Changwon District Prosecutor's Office. Myung stated regarding the impeachment of former President Yoon Suk-yeol, who is embroiled in allegations of interference in nominations, "It's not appropriate to discuss this now."

The Myung Tae-kyun Special Investigation Team of the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office, led by Vice Administrator Lee Ji-hyung, summoned Myung to the Changwon District Prosecutor's Office for questioning on the afternoon of that day. The investigation team called Myung in for questioning for two consecutive days following his release on bail on the 10th.

After being questioned at the Changwon District Prosecutor's Office that day, Myung told reporters, "The Changwon Correctional Institution saved my life from third-rate politicians and third-rate media." This appears to be a statement suggesting that being detained at the Changwon Correctional Institution allowed him to protect himself from forces trying to silence his revelations.

Earlier on the 9th, Myung was released on bail five months after being detained in November of last year. Former National Assembly member Kim Young-sun was also released on bail. The 4th Criminal Division of the Changwon District Court, presided over by Judge Kim In-taek, explained, "Considering that it seems difficult to conclude the trial within the detention period and to protect the defendant's right to defense, we approved bail conditionally." Myung and former Assembly member Kim will face trial while not in custody.

Myung stated, "I'm currently on trial, and I think it's not appropriate to say anything at this time. Once my position is more organized, I will speak then."

In addition to suspicions of violating the Political Fund Act, the prosecution is also investigating whether Myung intervened in the People Power Party nominations through the Yoon couple and whether he received money for conducting undisclosed opinion polls for candidate Oh Se-hoon during the 2021 Seoul mayoral by-election. Some speculate that the investigation into the Yoon couple is imminent.

The first trial of Myung and former Assembly member Kim has completed up to the third hearing, with the fourth hearing scheduled to take place on the 22nd.
