The People Power Party emphasized that the Constitutional Court criticized the unilateral operation of the National Assembly by the Democratic Party while announcing the impeachment of former President Yoon Suk-yeol, saying, "We must restore parliamentary democracy."

Spokesperson Jeong Kwang-jae of the People Power Party noted in a commentary on the 5th that "the Constitutional Court not only questioned the responsibility of former President Yoon in the final ruling on his impeachment but also offered admonitions regarding the operation of the National Assembly," adding that "the Constitutional Court pointed out that the National Assembly should have respected minority opinions and strived to reach conclusions through dialogue and compromise based on tolerance and restraint in its relationship with the government."

He further interpreted that "although the Constitutional Court did not specifically identify the Democratic Party, which holds an absolute majority in the National Assembly, the public is now questioning the responsibility of the ruling party, which has been preoccupied with the early departure of the Yoon Suk-yeol administration under the weapon of majority rule and 'Lee Jae-myung's bulletproofing.'"

He urged, "In fact, the Democratic Party submitted 22 impeachment proposals and even passed the first-ever opposition party's unilateral budget cut bill before the declaration of martial law after President Yoon's inauguration, and now the Democratic Party, which is heading down the path of parliamentary dictatorship based on an absolute majority, must provide an answer."

The spokesperson said, "Only when we restore parliamentary democracy through tolerance, restraint, dialogue, and compromise as ordered by the Constitutional Court can South Korea move toward a better future," adding, "The People Power Party will do its best for political restoration."

He also added, "I will fulfill the constitutional duties given to our party to stabilize the chaos caused by the martial law and impeachment political situation and to ensure that the constitutional order is maintained and operated without disturbance."
