Cho Seung-rae, spokesperson for the Democratic Party of Korea, said on the 26th, "Kweon Seong-dong, the leader of the People Power Party, should accept the court's ruling as he stated yesterday," and added, "The People Power Party, which has been engaging in political offensives in line with the political prosecutors' sword dance, should apologize."

On the same day, Cho held a press conference at the National Assembly's communication center and stated regarding Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party, being acquitted in the second trial of the Public Official Election Act violation case, "A ruling that rings the alarm bell on the political revenge investigation by the Yoon Seok-youl prosecution has been made."

Cho noted, "Just until yesterday, it seemed as if the People Power Party was convinced of the guilt, loudly calling for acceptance of the second trial's judgment, but they seem to have changed their words," adding, "The People Power Party repeats the behavior of recognizing the judicial system when it is beneficial and denying it when it is not."

He emphasized, "Given this, it is impossible to say that the People Power Party is a normal political party," noting that "the People Power Party is indeed an abnormal political party that disrupts the constitutional order and judicial order of South Korea, which has also been confirmed in today's commentary response to the verdict of acquittal in the appeal trial of this representative."

Previously, Kweon, the leader of the National Assembly, emphasized during a policy meeting held the previous day, "(Lee) has already received a sentence of 1 year in prison with a 2-year probation in the first trial. Given this level of sentence, deprivation of election rights is expected in the appeal trial," stating that "(Lee) must make a public promise to accept the ruling of the appeal trial."

Cho also urged the Constitutional Court to swiftly announce its ruling on President Yoon Seok-youl's impeachment trial. He stated, "I urge the Constitutional Court to set a date for the quick ruling on (President Yoon's impeachment trial)," and added, "The public is eagerly waiting for the dismissal of the insurrection leader to end this chaos."
