Lee Jae-myung, the representative of the Democratic Party of Korea, criticized, saying, "The People Power Party says it will continue relay intimidation protests ahead of the Constitutional Court ruling. This is an invasion of a constitutional institution and an act of insurrection."
During a Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly on the morning of the 12th, the representative said, "The ruling party, which must protect the constitution, is actively supporting and sympathizing with a constitutional destroyer. Any act intended to threaten the Constitutional Court while criticizing it cannot be justified."
The People Power Party announced that more than 30 lawmakers would hold a relay protest in front of the Constitutional Court. Starting with lawmaker Yoon Sang-hyun, they stated that each would hold a relay protest for 24 hours.
The representative said, "The People Power Party, as soon as President Yoon Suk-yeol was released from the detention center, visited the presidential residence and admitted its unity with the insurrection forces. I hope they will immediately cease their acts of inciting and supporting insurrection."
He pointed out to the ruling party, "It seems that the People Power Party does not see the reality where the anxiety and anger that are currently amplifying are intensifying the difficulties not only in Korean democracy but also in the economy day by day."
He continued, "Now is the time to genuinely listen to the voices of the people who wish for the end of the insurrection and the recovery of Korea," and emphasized, "If the People Power Party continues to sympathize with acts of constitutional destruction, they should bear in mind that they will ultimately be abandoned by the people."
