The Democratic Party established a "Special Committee on Games" on the 19th to promote the gaming industry and develop e-sports.

The party decided this during a Supreme Council meeting on that morning. Chairperson Kang Yu-jeong and Chairperson Hwang Hee-do of the Roh Moo-hyun Foundation were appointed.

Commissioners Jo Seung-rae and Lee Jae-sung, chairperson of the Busan city party, will take charge.

Commissioners Min Hong-cheol, Jang Kyung-tae, Jang Cheol-min, Jeon Yong-ki, Kim Sung-hoe, Kim Yong-man, Mo Kyung-jong, and Jung Jun-ho will participate. Experts from related fields such as the gaming industry, artificial intelligence (AI), and the metaverse are also expected to join.

Democratic Party Spokesperson Kim Sung-hoe said, "The goal is not only to promote the gaming ecosystem but also to address various issues related to games and improve e-sports, among other areas."
