First, in order to promote regional tourism during the Lunar New Year holiday when visiting hometowns, fees for roads, railways, air travel, and shipping will be waived. Toll fees on expressways will be waived during the holiday period from January 28 to 30, and it was agreed to discuss whether to include January 27 in the toll exemption period if it is designated as a temporary holiday.

From January 27 to 31, KTX and SRT reverse migration fares will be discounted by 30-40%. 'Reverse migration' refers to the direction heading from the provinces to Seoul and the metropolitan area. During the holiday, except for the Lunar New Year's Day, family accompanying discounts will be applied, and those using travel products for railways to declining population areas in Seoul will receive a 50% discount coupon.

Parking lots can also be used for free. From January 24 to 30, playgrounds of elementary, middle, and high schools will be opened for free parking, and parking lots of local governments and public institutions will also be opened. This information can be checked through Naver Map, Kakao Map, T Map, Gongyounuri, AINavi Air, and Hyundai Motor Navigation. Additionally, from January 28 to 30, parking fees for domestic airports for families with multiple children or disabled persons will be fully waived.

Various tourist sites will be open for free. From January 28 to 30, free admission will be available to national heritage sites such as the four great palaces, Jongmyo Shrine, and royal tombs of the Joseon Dynasty, as well as to the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art and other museums. Entrance fees for national natural recreation forests and parking fees for directly managed national parks will also be free. To attract foreign tourists, international air routes will be increased. This will support more than 130 additional flights primarily on Asian routes with high demand for tourism from Southeast Asia, Japan, and Taiwan.

To encourage employees to take vacations, a support program for vacation for workers, including those in small and medium-sized corporations, will be conducted for 150,000 people annually, encouraging early use around the Lunar New Year. This is a policy to support a total of 400,000 won for domestic travel expenses shared by workers, the government, and corporations. The areas where 'digital tourist resident cards' that provide integrated benefits such as accommodation and experiences for visits to specific regions will be expanded from the current 34 to 45.

Consumer sentiment will also be fostered. From February 15 to March 28, a shopping, culture, and tourism festival called 'Korea Grand Sale' will be held for inbound tourists, along with monthly sale events such as the 'Spring Regular Sale' in March-April and the 'Together Festival' in May. Cultural tourism festivals and events by region will also be held in parallel. To improve convenience for traditional markets, parking will be allowed on surrounding roads during the holiday period.

Additionally, prepayment and pre-purchase in the public and private institutional sectors will be encouraged, and within the scope that does not disrupt work, government and public institution vacations and remote work will be promoted before and after the Lunar New Year holiday.
