LG Uplus is developing an AI-based contact center (AICC) solution in collaboration with OpenAI. According to the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed on the 28th, LG Uplus plans to develop a customer consultation AI agent using OpenAI's technology and accelerate the AICC business.
Through this collaboration, LG Uplus will pursue a multi-engine strategy combining EXAONE and OpenAI's API. This will allow them to provide customized services to clients and significantly improve consultation quality and efficiency. Additionally, LG Uplus plans to expand the application of multi-engine-based technology in its own customer center, including chatbots and Auto QA, to enhance the completeness of customer responses and increase operational efficiency.
LG Uplus is expected to officially launch the next-generation AICC service in the second half of this year, establishing a foundation for expanding its B2B AI business. The agreement ceremony was attended by An Hyung-kyun, head of LG Uplus, and Andy Brown, head of Asia-Pacific at OpenAI.
