NHN announced on the 21st that it has held an office invitation event targeting the National University Student Game Development Association (UNIDEV) to discover and interact with future game talents.
Ahead of its open recruitment for the game business in the second half of the year, NHN organized this event as a preliminary recruiting activity to discover outstanding talents early. UNIDEV, the invitee, is an association composed of game development clubs from over 20 universities nationwide, including KAIST, Seoul National University, Korea University, and Yonsei University. They have expanded their presence as a community of student developers through game jams like 'UNIJAM' and exhibitions like 'UNICON.'
About 30 university students affiliated with UNIDEV attended the event, participating in programs such as an office tour, NHN game introductions and Q&A sessions, and table talks divided by job roles including business, planning, development, and art. In particular, the communication with professionals from the industry received a high response.
Kim Sang-ho, head of the NHN game business division, said, “It was a meaningful time to be able to interact directly with key talents who will lead the future game industry,” and added, “We plan to continue sharing vivid experiences related to the work and to expand opportunities for outstanding talents to get closer to NHN.”
