NHN Cloud and its subsidiary NHN Talent Inc. announced on the 17th that they have won the cloud conversion project for the Local Public Enterprise Budget Accounting System (LOBAS) operated by the Korea Local Information Development Institute.
The LOBAS, developed and operated by the Korea Local Information Development Institute, is a core business system that supports the entire financial process of local public enterprises, from budget preparation to accounting treatment and settlement of account. Currently, 235 public enterprises in Korea have adopted it for their use.
The Korea Local Information Development Institute explained that it is promoting the cloud conversion project to address difficulties arising from the aging of LOBAS, such as maintenance, repair, and functional improvements, as well as to resolve server overload due to the increase in users each year, and to enhance security, stability, and operational efficiency. This is the first case of private cloud conversion for the Korea Local Information Development Institute.
NHN Cloud held a report meeting on the commencement of the 'Local Public Enterprise Budget Accounting System Private Cloud Conversion Project' at the NHN headquarters 'Play Museum' on the 16th to fully launch the project. NHN Cloud and NHN Talent Inc. will convert the system and accumulated data of the Korea Local Information Development Institute's LOBAS to a cloud environment. NHN Talent Inc. will take on the role of the converter and supply NHN Cloud infrastructure to the Korea Local Information Development Institute.
