The Korea Information & Communication Association (TTA) announced on the 10th that it recorded export consulting results amounting to $170 million (about 230 billion won) through the 'Korea Innovation Convergence Summit 2025' held recently in the United States.
The summit, which took place from June 18th to 19th in Washington, D.C., was held to advance the global market expansion of domestic software as a service (SaaS) corporations. A total of 134 customized business consultations were conducted during this event. Notably, two memorandums of understanding (MOU) were signed on site.
The Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) are supporting the global market expansion of domestic SaaS corporations this year through the 'Global SaaS Marketplace Support (GSMP)' project.
The Korea Information & Communication Association (TTA), Didim365, and Bisexess Media Group have formed the GSMP consortium to provide multifaceted support including ▲ registration in the global SaaS marketplace ▲ quality improvements tailored to local demand ▲ resolution of overseas entry regulations ▲ discovery and consolidation of global partners ▲ local promotion.
The consortium plans to continuously provide various support such as customized follow-up mentoring and strengthening global partnerships so that the corporations participating in this event can achieve practical contracts and new sales beyond one-off results.
Lee Dong-cheol, head of the TTA Software Testing and Certification Institute, noted, “This summit was an important event demonstrating that Korean SaaS corporations can successfully enter the U.S. market based on thorough market analysis and localization strategies,” and added, “We will actively support the successful global expansion of Korean SaaS corporations to further strengthen digital innovation cooperation between the two countries.”
