NHN Cloud announced on the 4th that it has embarked on a campaign to target the Japanese cloud market in collaboration with domestic artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud corporations.
NHN Cloud has signed a business agreement with WISEnut, INNOGRID, and TULINE Cloud to expand the digital ecosystem in Japan through the 'AX Coalition collaboration.' The agreement was made on the 3rd at the NHN Japan Corp. building in Minato, Tokyo, with representatives from each company present to pledge cooperation for entering the Japanese market.
Under the agreement, NHN Cloud will provide cloud infrastructure based on the Tokyo region, while partner corporations will utilize this infrastructure to supply and operate their artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud solutions for Japanese clients. NHN Cloud plans to actively serve as a bridge for Korean corporations aiming to enter the Japanese market.
This collaboration is an extension of NHN Cloud's activities aimed at making the Japanese market a strategic overseas base. Since opening the Tokyo region in 2019, NHN Cloud has been providing cloud services to local Japanese corporations and Korean corporations entering the market, and last year it formed a partnership with the Japanese quality assurance corporation AIQVE ONE. Additionally, NHN Cloud has focused on penetrating the local market by participating in major Japanese IT events such as Interop Tokyo and Apps Japan.
Kim Dong-hoon, CEO of NHN Cloud, noted, 'We will combine the capabilities of domestic cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) corporations to showcase the strength of homegrown cloud services in the Japanese market,' adding, 'We will be a strong supporter for domestic corporations hoping to enter Japan based on the Tokyo region.'
