The information technology (IT) security and certification platform corporation Raonsecure announced on the 4th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the 'digital identity and credentialing business for artificial intelligence (AI) talent certification' with the Korea Artificial Intelligence Association and the Korea Digital Certification Association.

Recently, the government has been pushing for an investment of about 100 trillion won with the aim of becoming one of the 'top three AI powerhouses in the world,' leading to rapid growth in the AI industry. As a result, the necessity for an AI talent certification system that can objectively validate professionalism and credibility is increasing. This trilateral agreement aims to share a vision for nurturing talents that will lead the AI era in line with this historical trend and plans to collaboratively build a reliable credential certification and talent management system using blockchain digital ID technology.

Under the agreement, Raonsecure will support the issuance, management, and verification of qualification information for AI talents based on 'OmniOne Digital ID' and 'OmniOne Badge.' The Korea Artificial Intelligence Association will introduce 'OmniOne Digital ID' and 'OmniOne Badge' into the talent matching center project, and the Korea Digital Certification Association is expected to support the expansion of the global AI talent certification ecosystem based on open decentralized identity (DID) technology.

It is expected that this collaboration will lay the groundwork for professionals to be assessed fairly and transparently. In particular, a reliable certification system is anticipated to have a positive impact on industries and society as a whole by enabling individuals to accurately prove their capabilities and allowing organizations or corporations to more efficiently identify the talents they need.

Kim Tae-jin, CTO of Raonsecure, noted, 'To enhance the competitiveness of the AI industry, a reliable certification and verification system for talent acquisition is essential,' adding, 'Raonsecure will actively contribute to the creation of a global AI talent certification ecosystem based on blockchain-based digital ID technology.'
