Cyber security specialist Genians announced on 4th that it successfully wrapped up the 'CYDES 2025' held at the Malaysia Putrajaya International Convention Center (PICC) from 1st to 3rd.
'CYDES' is a cyber security event organized by the National Security Council (NSC) under the Malaysian government. It has established itself as a central platform for cyber security cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region and serves as a venue to discuss cyber security strategies and regulations as well as to examine trends.
In particular, Putrajaya, the host city, is the administrative capital where Malaysian government agencies are concentrated, similar in nature to Sejong City in Korea. A significant number of local public sector IT leaders attended the event, and Genians was the only Korean corporation to participate, drawing attention.
Genians showcased key security solutions including ▲Network Access Control (NAC) ▲Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) ▲Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) at the event. They held numerous on-site meetings and technical consultations with IT officials from major public institutions in Putrajaya. They gathered the local organizations' requirements and closely assessed real market needs and the current status of competitors' vendor adoption.
Genians is expanding its global presence, primarily focusing on the U.S. and Middle Eastern markets, with the Asia-Pacific (APAC) market being a strategic area developed over a long period. Since its entry into the APAC region in 2018, it has secured a diverse customer base in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia, building technological reliability and references through numerous clients including 77 branches of a public energy organization in Thailand.
Naseil, Director of Overseas Business Division at Genians, said, "Recent achievements in the Middle East have drawn attention, and the APAC region is also one of the key markets that Genians has been focused on from an early stage," adding, "This event was a good opportunity to confirm supply opportunities for our products from multiple angles, and we will use this as a stepping stone to establish long-term strategies and continue to expand the ecosystem centered on the APAC region."
