EverSpin provides

Recently, amidst attempts of fraudulent ticket reservations using macros and scraping in the online ticket booking market, the AI security company EverSpin announced on the 30th that it has completely blocked fraudulent reservations by applying its web security solution, "EverSafe," to NHN Link, which provides Ticket Link.

EverSafe analyzes users' behaviors when accessing the booking site to identify "abnormal movements," such as automated booking attempts or information gathering, in real time. It automatically blocks extremely rapid clicking or navigation, simultaneous access from multiple devices, manipulated IP addresses, or browser information. The company explained that this technology can preemptively block indiscriminate booking attempts using macros or scraping activities that steal pricing and inventory information.

Attempts of fraudulent reservations are primarily conducted by using automated tools (bots) to secure a large number of tickets for popular performances and sports events, which are then resold at a premium. After applying EverSafe, Ticket Link is filtering abnormal traffic in real time during the booking opening.

Both scraping and macro attacks automate the process of extensively exploring sites or sending requests, disguising actual user behavior to overload the system and significantly increase management expenses. Such automated illegal reservation systems lead to unfair service usage.

An EverSpin representative noted, "EverSafe goes beyond simple firewalls or access control levels and accurately identifies threats based on the actual user behavior flow and technical patterns," adding, "The case of Ticket Link demonstrates that web security technology, which has been proven in the financial sector and public institutions, is also effective in the commerce sector."
