LG Electronics announced on the 25th that it would launch a new global campaign called 'Radio Optimism,' part of its brand message 'Life’s Good,' aimed at creating a better life.
LG Electronics noted that while people actively share their daily lives or photos and videos on social media, they tend to remain at superficial responses such as 'likes,' making emotional exchanges or meaningful relationship formation difficult.
In a 'social connectivity survey' conducted by LG Electronics among consumers worldwide, 68% of respondents said, 'It's difficult to establish genuine friendships or meaningful communication on social media.'
In this context, LG Electronics devised 'Radio Optimism,' reinterpreting the radio communication method of conveying feelings through songs and stories using AI technology.
Customers wishing to participate can enter their desired messages on a dedicated website and select music genres and song moods such as K-pop, R&B, and jazz. The AI will reflect this to create suitable songs and album art, which can then be shared with family, friends, and users worldwide.
Currently, services are provided in English and Spanish, with plans to expand supported languages in the future to include Korean, French, German, and more.
Since 2023, LG Electronics has been carrying out various global activities to spread the 'Life’s Good' message worldwide. Last year, it conducted the 'Optimism your feed' campaign, which used social media algorithms to boost exposure of positive content.
The campaign garnered significant attention, recording about 20 million customer participations and a total of 2.5 billion content views.
Additionally, in Mexico, it collaborated with the major broadcaster Milenio Televisión to conduct a campaign delivering hopeful news amid social issues such as drugs, violence, and corruption.
Kim Hyo-eun, head of brand management at LG Electronics, said, 'We will continue various brand activities to ensure that the 'Life’s Good' message is delivered authentically even in the digital environment.'
