The Korea Software Industry Association (KOSA) announced on the 24th that its efforts to support domestic corporations' entry into the Middle East market have yielded visible results, as it achieved a supply contract between Megazone Cloud and NextEra in Saudi Arabia.

Following its participation in the Global Industrial Internet of Things Summit (GIITS) held in November last year at the invitation of Saudi Aramco, KOSA established a foundation for technological cooperation through a memorandum of understanding with Aramco in May this year and began subsequent support. It has been supporting cooperation with local organizations and business matching through the strategically established KOSA MENA Office in the Middle East.

As a result of these activities, Megazone Cloud, a member corporation of the association, signed a Master Service Agreement (MSA) with Saudi digital service company NextEra and will provide the cloud integrated management platform “SpaceONE.” NextEra is a joint venture between Aramco Digital and global IT company LTI Mindtree, serving as a key digital entity for the realization of Saudi “Vision 2030.”

This contract was finalized after NextEra CEO Dina Abunukh and Aramco Digital CEO Nabil Al Nuaim visited Korea and discussed expanding cooperation with association president Jo Jun-hee.

Jo Jun-hee stated, “This contract marks the first instance of KOSA’s support activities in the Middle East leading to tangible results,” adding, “Collaboration with major digital corporations in Saudi Arabia is an important opportunity to confirm the demand and trust in domestic technology.”
