On the 24th, Koh Young Technology (Koh Young) announced that it revealed the Geniant Cranial, a medical robot for brain surgery, for the first time in Korea at the 2025 Korean Epilepsy Society International Conference.

This robot supports high-precision surgeries such as deep brain electrode electroencephalogram (sEEG) for detecting seizure areas in refractory epilepsy surgery, deep brain stimulation (DBS) for treating Parkinson's disease, and brain tumor biopsies. The surgical guide robot and navigation assist accurate positioning and real-time tracking, providing medical staff with precise and intuitive instructions on the surgical site.

This robot received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) certification last January and won the highest award at the 2025 Red Dot Design Award due to its ergonomic design, which takes into account the surgical environment and user convenience.

This exhibition was organized to introduce the technology and actual operating methods of this robot to domestic neurosurgeons and neurologists. Koh Young showcased its intuitive user interface, high accuracy, and potential for reducing surgical time to many medical professionals who visited the site.

A representative from Koh Young said, "We will accelerate our entry into key global markets such as the United States and Japan so that this robot can be utilized in domestic and international medical settings where high-precision brain surgeries are needed."
