LG Uplus announced on the 23rd that it held its second quarter company-wide town hall meeting at its headquarters in Magok, Seoul, providing an opportunity for members to take the lead in sharing the company's changes and strategic direction.

This town hall meeting was conducted in a way that broke away from traditional methods, with members presenting the organization’s achievements directly, followed by a free question and answer session with key executives. In particular, this meeting, which was held for the first time since the company's founding at the Magok headquarters, where the core R&D personnel are gathered, added to its significance.

During the performance-sharing session, key development cases of LG Uplus were introduced, including ▲AI-based communication service "Ixi-O," ▲targeting the foreign customer segment, ▲AIDC design, construction, and operation business, and ▲quantum security-based enterprise software "U+SASE" and "AlphaKey." In all of these cases, members of the respective departments appeared directly in the videos to explain their achievements.

After sharing the achievements, President Hong mentioned the cases of differentiated customer value discovery focusing on the customer segment, such as personalized voice ARS (CX center) and AI biz call for daycare centers (corporations), and praised members, stating, "It is meaningful that our strategy is being executed and progressing step by step."

President Hong stated, "In the development cases seen earlier, we could confirm our potential and willingness to change, and I felt that everyone's passion is gathering to change the future of the company," and emphasized that to develop these achievements into a structural competitiveness that can lead ahead of competitors, a unique "Winning R&D" is necessary.

"Winning R&D" is a strategy that focuses on investing in technology areas that can yield results in the medium to long term, rapidly developing them to create differentiated customer value. The core is to prioritize the development of technologies that are essential from the customer's perspective and to establish a development system that can implement them into actual services.

President Hong said, "Based on the Winning R&D strategy, we must create a technological moat that no one can easily follow." To achieve this, he instructed to ▲select a few "Winning Tech" considering the contribution to future society and differentiated potential, ▲concentrate resources on the selected technologies to maximize the chances of success, and ▲secure the capabilities of 3B (Build/Buy/Borrow) to optimize those technologies.

President Hong also introduced the evolution cases of the "service development system" being pursued in the CTO sector and the "Autonomous Network" in the network sector, encouraging members. The CTO organization is establishing a service development system that quickly and persistently improves the diverse requirements of customers, creating a solid system from planning to development and deployment. In the network sector, they are focusing on high-value tasks through active risk checks, future architecture design, and work agents that combine RPA and AX solutions.

President Hong said, "A bright world becomes achievable only when all members think and practice together," and stated, "In the future, we will expand horizontal communication with members through the open chat platform 'TAP' and the internal SNS 'TRIGO,' and continue to encourage autonomous participation."
