LG CNS is continuously winning large contracts in the public artificial intelligence (AI) market. Following the Ministry of Foreign Affairs AI platform project, it was recently selected as the preferred negotiator for the AI digital platform project of the Gyeonggi-do Office of Education.
LG CNS announced on the 23rd that it has been selected as the preferred negotiator for the 'AI-data-driven Gyeonggi education digital platform' project commissioned by the Gyeonggi-do Office of Education. The project's scale is a total of 38 billion won, making it the largest AI project commissioned by public institutions this year.
LG CNS participated in the bid by forming a consortium with NHN INJEINC, Soft Itex, and SGA. The consortium is known to have surpassed the Samsung SDS-KT consortium in technology scores.
This project aims to build an intelligent digital platform based on generative AI to comprehensively support educational operations. The consortium is responsible for developing specialized AI and data-driven digital platforms for the Gyeonggi-do Office of Education, generative AI services, data automatic collection systems, and cloud infrastructure.
LG CNS envisions providing optimized applied AI services for the educational field. It plans to establish an 'AI administrative assistant' to assist staff with tasks such as writing home communication, an 'AI communication helper' to provide students and parents with information such as academic schedules, and an 'AI co-pilot service' to integrate management of emails, messengers, and schedules.
It will also develop a tailored educational data analysis platform for personalized student guidance and policy formulation. To this end, a system will be established to automatically collect data generated from each school's website and the Office of Education's operational systems.
LG CNS will apply the massive language model (LLM) ExaOne developed by LG AI Research Institute to this project. The plan is to develop an AI model optimized for the educational field by training it on the vast information from the Gyeonggi-do Office of Education.
A company representative said, 'We will construct the ‘AI-data-driven Gyeonggi education digital platform’ by June next year and introduce AI services optimized for the educational environment.'
Earlier, LG CNS signed a contract for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs AI platform project worth 30 billion won in May. The company emphasized that this project win allows it to secure a favorable position in the public AI market.
