SK shieldus announced on the 20th that the demand for its artificial intelligence (AI)-based heating and cooling management service 'Caps Smart Heating and Cooling' is rapidly increasing ahead of the scorching heat.

According to SK shieldus, the cumulative number of Caps Smart Heating and Cooling installations is about 11.3% higher compared to the previous year as of June this year. The adoption is spreading in the food service, retail, and small-to-medium sized manufacturing sectors, with an increase in installation inquiries particularly among multi-store operators and owners of unmanned stores.

Caps Smart Heating and Cooling is a service that automatically adjusts indoor temperature and humidity and efficiently controls heating and cooling systems using AI and Internet of Things (IoT) technology. The AI analyzes usage patterns, space structure, external temperatures, and other factors in real time to set optimal operating conditions and appropriate temperatures. Customized control based on business hours or employee-specific permissions is also possible.

Users can check indoor environments and remotely control heating and cooling systems through a dedicated app at any time. Although there may be differences based on actual conditions, it has been analyzed to have an average electricity consumption reduction effect of about 10%.
