Waplat, a subsidiary of NHN, announced on the 20th that it has signed a business agreement for the formal introduction of its artificial intelligence (AI) based digital care service 'AI caregiver' in the Mapo District of Seoul.

Through this agreement, Waplat will formally supply the mobile app-based senior care service 'AI caregiver' to the Mapo District, which will utilize it for the care of local residents. In particular, the service will start next month targeting over 300 middle-aged single-person households and seniors aged 65 and over, who are at high risk of dying alone.

The service provides a five-step well-being check system through smartphone features, including automatic welfare checks, health monitoring, medication reminders, telephone consultations, and security company dispatches. On-site personnel can check the status of recipients in real time through a management page.

A representative of Waplat noted, "The AI caregiver has proven effective in detecting abnormal signs in various local governments and has demonstrated its effectiveness," and added, "We will continue to lead the digital care ecosystem in response to the increasing demand for senior care in the public sector."
