The Kakao labor union is temporarily suspending its phased strike. The Kakao labor union had previously announced its intention to launch the 'first full-scale strike since its establishment' due to the company's proposal of a low compensation plan for Kakao Mobility.

The Korean Chemical, Textile & Food Workers’ Union (KCTFU) Kakao branch (Crew Union) announced on the 18th that negotiations between the company and Kakao Mobility resumed the previous day and that both sides had come closer in their opinions, leading to the decision to suspend the strike.

Earlier, the Kakao labor union noted, 'Despite high performance, Kakao Mobility proposed a unilateral and low compensation plan during collective bargaining,' and had conducted a two-hour partial strike on the 11th. They also held a four-hour partial strike and a rally at Pangyo Station Plaza that day and warned of a full-scale strike on the 25th.

The Kakao labor union plans to determine major issues related to wages and collective agreements through future negotiations.
