The Korea Information & Communication Association (KAIT) announced on the 18th that it has signed a business agreement with the digital job training institution 'KD Academy' to cultivate talent in digital new technologies.

Through this agreement, KAIT plans to develop educational programs linked to information and communication technology qualifications. It will also explore various collaboration methods, such as supporting qualifications assessment organizations, joint promotions, and mutual use of educational personnel, facilities, and equipment.

KAIT is the operational organization for qualifications in the information and communication technology (ICT) field, including AI utilization ability, metaverse development professionals, Linux masters, and digital information utilization ability. The KD Academy education group is an operational organization for K-Digital Training, overseen by the Ministry of Employment and Labor. It offers various practical, skills-based education programs, including AI, programming, digital design, video editing, and computer accounting. Training courses based on government funding and employment connections are also in progress.

Han Sung-man, head of the KAIT Digital Talent Development Center, said, "Based on our experience in operating information and communication technology qualifications, we will work with KD Academy to create a field-based practical talent training model," adding, "I hope that qualification-based vocational education will become more active through collaboration with private educational institutions."

Cho Min-hwa, head of the KD Academy education group, said, "With this agreement as an opportunity, we will strive to produce talents who possess both qualification and practical skills, focusing on cultivating professional personnel that can be immediately utilized in the digital new technology industry."
