Zoom Communications announced on the 17th the launch of its new feature, 'Zoom Spaces,' which enhances user experience in the workplace.
Zoom Spaces is a meeting room-focused collaboration solution optimized for a hybrid work environment. The new features include ▲ addition of photo check-in to visitor management ▲ expansion of Zoom Room support for the artificial intelligence (AI) companion voice recorder ▲ strengthening collaborations with major partners such as HP, Google, Cisco, Meta, and Logitech.
The photo check-in feature simplifies the visitor check-in process through photo-based automatic recognition. It is set to launch in September.
The workspace reservation feature with AI companion recommends office commuting days based on meeting schedules and colleagues' attendance information and automatically reserves seats and meeting rooms. Some features, such as recommended office commuting dates, meeting room, and seat reservations, are available for immediate use, while the integration of the AI companion will be applied in June.
Jeff Smith, head of Zoom Workplace AI, Meeting and Spaces Products, said, 'The future of office space is fundamentally changing,' and 'Through the latest AI technology, Zoom Spaces provides a more flexible and inclusive work environment, effectively connecting office workers and remote workers.'
