On the 16th, the expansion reality (XR) technology corporation OLIM PLANET’s fandom platform XROMEDA announced the official launch of “VROOK,” Korea’s first VR celebrity photo shoot brand.

“VROOK” is a next-generation fan experience content that combines the traditional lookbook format visually composed of a celebrity’s style and concept with VR videos, artificial intelligence (AI) synthesized photo shoots, and live-action photo shoots. It is characterized by the ability to appreciate the overall visuals, atmosphere, gaze, and movements of the celebrity in three dimensions.

To celebrate the launch of “VROOK,” XROMEDA will operate a separate booth at “MARS 2025,” hosted by Hwaseong City, from June 18 to 20 at COEX and conduct promotions. Nine celebrities participating in “VROOK” will introduce content combining VR and AI application technologies for one hour each at the booth during the expo, and various fan participation events, such as photo sessions, will also be held. Among the first 30 attendees at the booth, various special perks, including limited-edition physical AI photo cards, will be given.

“VROOK” consists of three product packages: ▲Basic Package ▲Special Package ▲ALL Package. Commonly included content consists of 20 celebrity photo shoot photos, one VOD capturing the photo shoot scene, and one VR VOD. The “Special Package” includes a full version VR video and a mobile-exclusive VR device (HMD). The “ALL Package” includes the full version VR video, mobile-exclusive HMD, in addition to 20 B-cut photos and AI special photo cards provided in both digital and physical formats.

AI photo cards are generative image content completed by AI after analyzing the celebrity’s outfit style and automatically synthesizing backgrounds and visual effects suitable for the concept. They create scenes that are difficult to realize in reality, drawing unique visuals and increasing their rarity and collectible value as limited-edition digital goods. Detailed information about the components and prices of “VROOK” products can be found on the XROMEDA website.

Ahn Ho-jun, vice president of OLIM PLANET, noted, “VROOK is a new type of content that captures the process of celebrities transforming from mere shooting subjects into creators designing immersive experiences with fans,” and added, “Through VR videos and AI photo shoots, the celebrity’s style and worldview are expected to be implemented in a three-dimensional way, allowing for a highly immersive fandom experience.”
