The artificial intelligence (AI) service platform wrtn announced on the 15th that it has selected singer G-Dragon as its exclusive advertising model.
Wrtn stated, "G-Dragon is an icon leading Korean popular culture, and he aligns with wrtn's goal of providing enjoyable and convenient AI services."
G-Dragon will serve as the model for wrtn's brand campaign, which will take place across various media such as TV, OTT, the internet, social media, and outdoor settings, starting on the 17th. The advertising fee for this model contract is said to be worth hundreds of millions of won annually. The TV advertisement, set to be released on the 17th, will break traditional advertising norms and will be produced as a "vertical" video tailored for the mobile generation, emphasizing its unconventional elements with G-Dragon's self-filmed footage and on-site audio only.
Wrtn surpassed 5 million monthly active users last year, and in March, it secured a series B investment of 108 billion won, achieving a cumulative investment amount of roughly 130 billion won. In a recent survey, it ranked first among domestic corporate services as the most widely used generative AI app by Koreans in May.
Lee Se-young, CEO of wrtn, noted, "This advertising campaign symbolizes wrtn's innovative challenge to usher in an era where every one of the 50 million citizens of South Korea has access to one AI."
