SK Telecom announced on the 15th during a daily briefing regarding the cyber intrusion incident that, as of midnight, the total number of accumulated SIM card replacement customers reached 8.02 million. On the 14th alone, 250,000 people replaced their SIM cards, and there are 1.83 million people remaining on the waiting list. SK Telecom plans to complete the SIM card replacements for all those who made reservations by the 20th.

Additionally, SK Telecom will deploy 3,240 employees from its headquarters and subsidiaries to provide onsite support and focus on replacing the SIM cards for those on the waiting list from the 16th to the 20th. The 'visiting service' has been ongoing for about a month, and as of the 14th, approximately 34,000 SIM card replacements have been completed. This service is expected to reach 40,000 by the end of June.

SK Telecom has secured inventory for SIM card replacements to provide replacements to those who made reservations and is currently able to replace 200,000 to 300,000 SIM cards daily. It seems the first round of SIM card replacements can be completed by around June 20. However, they have not confirmed the timing for resuming new customer registrations in response to the administrative order from the Ministry of Science and ICT.

Meanwhile, discussions are underway regarding the 'waiver of penalties' related to SK Telecom's hacking incident. It is reported that, as a condition for waiving penalties, the Ministry of Science and ICT is reviewing whether SK Telecom has properly implemented technical and managerial measures for personal data protection, including the performance of 'ordinary care obligations' by a diligent manager.
