Jensen Huang, the chief executive officer (CEO) of NVIDIA, announced on the 11th (local time) that the company will expand its artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure in Europe.
CEO Huang said at the 'Viva Technology' event, the largest startup fair in Europe, held in Paris, France, that 'we will build the world's first industrial AI cloud in Europe.'
CEO Huang noted that 'this industrial AI cloud will be used for virtual wind tunnel design and simulation,' adding that 'designs will be adjusted in real time while observing vehicle movements in the virtual wind tunnel.'
In this context, Reuters reported that NVIDIA will initially establish an industrial AI cloud platform in Germany, combining AI and robotics to support automotive manufacturers such as BMW and Mercedes-Benz in everything from product design simulations to logistics management.
CEO Huang also mentioned, 'Europe is now realizing the importance of AI factories and AI infrastructure. I am very pleased to see so many activities taking place here,' and he predicted that the company would add 20 AI factories in Europe and increase the region's AI computing capacity tenfold within two years.
Additionally, while introducing collaborative relationships with countries around the world, he stated that NVIDIA would build a cloud platform powered by 18,000 of its latest chips, Blackwell, in cooperation with Mistral AI, a French AI startup.
