STC Lab announced on the 11th that it has launched its macro detection and blocking solution 'Emburst' as a software-based cloud service (SaaS) called 'Bot Manager Pro'.
The Bot Manager Pro SaaS service has been planned by STC Lab since it launched Emburst, targeting the global market. To grow into a global service that transcends borders, a cloud-based SaaS is essential.
Domestic and international customers now have more options. They can reliably prepare for macro attacks through a subscription model, and corporations that only need macro blocking during special periods of the year can opt for one-time contracts. STC Lab conducts direct security patches and updates, reducing maintenance burdens. For security reasons, they may also choose traditional on-premise services instead of SaaS.
The monopolization of concert and sports event tickets using malicious macros is gaining attention as it is included in President Lee Jae-myung's 'top 9 pledges' that he identified as issues to address for making citizens' everyday lives more convenient. The president noted that he would strengthen penalties against ticket scalpers who use macros to enhance the fairness of the reservation system.
As consumers' voices for fair ticketing grow louder, STC Lab expects an increase in corporations' demand for macro blocking and plans to actively respond to these market changes through Bot Manager Pro. Bot Manager Pro has recently been applied to large ticketing services and analyzed approximately 200 million traffic instances, detecting and blocking 43 million macros, which is 21% of the total, to provide a fair and stable service.
Park Hyung-jun, CEO of STC Lab, said, 'With the launch of the SaaS version Bot Manager Pro, we are now able to respond to the diverse demands of customers in the global market,' and added, 'We will do our best to maintain a service that is always stable and efficient with STC Lab's technological competitiveness.'
