Microsoft (MS) announced on the 11th that it has released the Work Trend Index 2025, which presents cases of how its artificial intelligence (AI) technology has improved the efficiency of corporate operations.
According to the data, 81% of global corporate executives expect that agent technology will be integrated into their AI strategies in the next 12 to 18 months. 46% indicated that they have already fully automated their operational procedures and processes using agents.
MS noted, "The 365 Copilot provides a foundational environment for applying AI to various tasks, allowing organizations to use it to incorporate agents into their daily work," adding, "The Copilot Studio is a platform that helps develop AI agents tailored to corporate needs and build automation applications, with over 230,000 organizations, including 90% of Fortune 500 corporations, adopting and utilizing it."
In this Work Trend Index, MS introduced examples of AI solutions implemented at ▲ Atomic Work, a service management software corporation; ▲ BDO Colombia, a professional accounting and consulting corporation; ▲ Grupo Bimbo, a global confectionery corporation; ▲ Wells Fargo, a U.S. financial institution; ▲ Dow, a global chemical corporation; ▲ Estée Lauder, a global beauty corporation; ▲ Fujitsu, a global ICT corporation; and ▲ KPMG, a global accounting and consulting corporation.
Atomic Work developed the agent "Atom" based on MS Azure AI Foundry and provided it to clients. Within six months, it succeeded in converting 65% of employee inquiries into automated responses. Atom had a 75% lower response delay compared to competing solutions and 20% higher accuracy.
BDO Colombia developed the AI agent "BeTic 2.0" to automate payroll and financial processes using MS Copilot Studio and the Power Platform. This agent reduced operational tasks by 50% and optimized 78% of internal processes, reportedly managing requests with 99.9% accuracy.
Grupo Bimbo utilized MS Power Platform and Copilot Studio to build 650 AI agents and 18,000 automation processes. They created 7,000 Power Apps for operational application. MS explained that this resulted in cost savings amounting to tens of millions of dollars over the course of a year.
Wells Fargo created an AI agent based on MS Teams, allowing 4,000 branch employees to easily access over 1,700 internal regulations and procedures. The time taken to retrieve information, which averaged 10 minutes, was reduced to 30 seconds.
KPMG developed the AI agent "Comply AI" based on MS technology to address ESG issues. Clients who adopted it improved the quality of ESG control and risk explanation by 70%, and shortened the duration of compliance programs by 18 months. The maintenance burden was also halved.
Dow developed an AI agent based on MS Copilot Studio that automatically analyzes over 100,000 PDF transportation invoices annually. Estée Lauder utilized Copilot Studio to develop the AI agent "ConsumerIQ," which enables rapid analysis of consumer data. Fujitsu developed an intelligent AI agent for sales automation using Azure AI agent services, increasing sales department productivity by 67%.
Additionally, cases of MS AI being adopted to enhance operational efficiency were introduced, including ▲ Eneco, a Belgian energy corporation; ▲ T-Mobile, a U.S. telecommunications company; and ▲ Virgin Money, a UK-based financial institution. Judson Althoff, MS's chief vice president, noted, "AI is a tool that helps more organizations realize potential and achieve more through technological benefits" and stated that "Microsoft will continue to actively support clients in leading innovation and achieving tangible business outcomes based on AI technology."
