On the 10th, Thinkpool, a fintech AI company led by CEO Kim Dong-jin, announced the launch of 'Hamatameon,' the country's first experiential preventive service against digital financial fraud using generative artificial intelligence (AI).

Recently, as new types of financial fraud such as voice phishing, smishing, and deepfake are rapidly evolving, social damage has increased. However, there are many assessments that existing preventive education is limited to merely conveying information and does not enhance practical response capabilities.

'Hamatameon' is designed to have generative AI relentlessly send text messages and voice just like a real fraudster, presenting users with various financial fraud scenarios. According to the company, it is designed to enhance the ability to respond to financial fraud by allowing users to experience the psychology and logic of fraud techniques beyond simple warnings or theoretical explanations.

Kim Byeong-hoon, a leading researcher at Thinkpool's AI Research Institute, noted, 'Hamatameon represents a new approach that allows users to acquire response capabilities by directly experiencing actual financial fraud situations, breaking away from traditional lecture-style training.' He added, 'This will be the starting point for an innovative financial fraud prevention model utilizing AI technology.'

Just as prior exposure to a disease induces an immune response, it is expected that repeated exposure through Hamatameon will help build resistance to financial fraud.

The main features of 'Hamatameon' include ▲ practical experience through AI acting as a financial fraudster ▲ enhanced response capabilities against the latest techniques through quick updates ▲ immersive experience environment through natural text and voice conversations ▲ diagnostic and analysis of user prevention capabilities ▲ introduction of game-like elements to increase interest and engagement in learning.

'Hamatameon' was developed as part of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's 2023 Knowledge Service Industry Technology Development Project (Development of AI-linked service for active seniors' self-development). ProNum Co., the Korea Electronics Technology Institute, the Financial and Happiness Network, and Sangmyung University participated as joint research institutions.

Thinkpool provides 'Hamatameon' on its website (https://hama.thinkpool.com) and plans to launch a mobile app soon. Advanced features such as video deepfake experiences, personalized response strategies, and implementation of fraudster language will also be added.
