Fortinet Korea announced on the 4th that its Security Service Edge (SSE) solution has been recognized as a 'Challenger' in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant.
FortiSASE is based on a unified architecture with a single operating system, providing consistent security policies across on-premise and cloud environments, and supporting access in multiple environments. It is designed to accommodate various approaches, including external users, personal devices (BYOD), agentless access, and third-party SD-WAN integration.
Fortinet operates a platform that integrates security SD-WAN, SSE, and digital experience monitoring, providing features such as Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Secure Web Gateway (SWG), and Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) as part of its FortiGuard artificial intelligence (AI)-based security services. Additionally, it includes visibility and control features for generative AI usage environments.
By configuring 'sovereign SASE,' it supports data management and control in regulated industries such as finance and healthcare, making it feasible for operation even in small branch environments through integration with WLAN/LAN equipment.
Moreover, Fortinet noted that it has been selected for two consecutive years in the 'Gartner Peer Insights Customers' Choice' in the SSE institutional sector.
Nirav Shah, senior vice president of Fortinet's product and solutions sector, said, 'This recognition as a Gartner MQ Challenger reflects market share, customer response, and product execution plans,' adding, 'We will support organizations' needs through integration with existing infrastructure and consistent security operations based on artificial intelligence.'
