Kakao announced on the 4th that it will conduct online training to enhance the personal information protection capabilities of small businesses in collaboration with the Personal Information Protection Commission and the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA).
The training will be held at 4 p.m. on the same day through the Kakao Business seminar website. The seminar will increase the proportion of Q&A sessions compared to the previous year. The training contents are based on various personal information breach cases, including those from global IT corporations, and practical response measures will also be discussed.
Lee Soo-hyun, a senior researcher at KISA's Planning and Research Team, will participate as a speaker in the training to present ▲ cases of personal information breaches ▲ precautions when processing personal information at different stages of Kakao Business ▲ measures to take in the event of a personal information leak.
Since 2022, Kakao and KISA have been conducting personal information protection training for Kakao Business partners and small businesses. Anyone interested in personal information, even if they are not a small business, can participate.
A Kakao official noted, “We have prepared training that can help partners and small businesses safely handle personal information,” adding, “We plan to continue providing customized training and support so that not only partners but also small businesses can understand personal information-related laws and operate their businesses safely.”
