LG Electronics announced on the 2nd that it will showcase a special experience space where plants and reading meet, utilizing the plant lifestyle appliance 'LG Tiun Mini' at 'Seoul Book Report' in Songpa District, Seoul until July 13.
Seoul Book Report is the country's first public used bookstore established in 2019 by the city of Seoul, collecting over 130,000 books. Recently, it has been revamped into a 'book culture space' where individuals can discover their own tastes through books, creating themed bookcases, a book café, and a transcription space, and is selecting and recommending books based on new themes every 2-3 months.
LG Electronics collaborated with Seoul Book Report to place 30 LG Tiun Mini units throughout the internal shelves and reading rooms. Visitors can read in a plant interior space themed 'Spring Day's Book Greenhouse' while enjoying various plants such as marigold, golden thyme, dill hub, and kale that grow in the LG Tiun Mini.
At the café within Seoul Book Report, beverages made with cherry tomatoes and basil that can be grown using LG Tiun Mini are also available. By selecting one of the LG Tiun Minis on display and leaving a message, participants can enter a draw to receive one of the LG Tiun Minis and seed kits for 10 lucky winners.
The LG Tiun Mini is a plant lifestyle appliance that allows for easy plant growth simply by attaching a seed kit, adding water and nutrients, and turning on the LED lights. It is small and lightweight, making it suitable for placement on bedside tables, office desks, or dining tables.
Jang Young-jo LG Electronics Sprout Company representative noted, 'We will continue to engage in various activities so that more customers can experience the 'LG Tiun Mini,' which allows anyone to easily grow companion plants indoors and use it as an interior object.'
