Wemade announced on the 2nd that 'Fantastic BASS: Ilmi Pro,' which is serviced by Wemade and developed by Round One Studio, achieved first place in the sports game popularity rankings on Japan's Google Play and Apple App Store within three days of its release.
The game, released on the 29th of last month, is the first mobile baseball game in Japan to obtain official licenses from NPB (Japan Professional Baseball Organization), MLB (Major League Baseball), and MLB Players, Inc. Wemade signed a licensing agreement with NPB through its Japanese subsidiary, Wemade Japan.
Users can form their dream teams with players from NPB and MLB, and Japanese sports announcer Satoshi Kamishige participated as a caster, adding a realism similar to actual broadcasts. These differentiated elements resonated with local users, driving the game's popularity.
Currently, an event is ongoing where all users accessing the game are provided with a diamond-grade card for Japanese major leaguer Masataka Yoshida. Wemade noted that it plans to introduce a variety of content for Japanese users in the future.
