KT announced on the 1st that it has signed a contract with the Korea Water Resources Corporation for the 'K-water Digital Platform Construction' project and will actively pursue a digital transformation project valued at a total of 19 billion won.
This project, commissioned by the Korea Water Resources Corporation with the goal of advancing domestic water management technology, selected the 'KT Consortium,' led by KT and including INNOGRID, ST Logic, and KT DS, as the final contractor. The consortium will jointly carry out the project over the next two years.
During the project bidding process, the KT Consortium was recognized for its technical superiority in areas such as ▲cloud-based water management digital transformation capabilities ▲stability and scalability of data platform design ▲strategies for transitioning to water management specialized software as a service (SaaS), securing the contract.
KT noted that it will leverage its extensive experience in digital transformation across various government, public, and corporate sectors, along with its capabilities in artificial intelligence and information communications technology, to convert the Korea Water Resources Corporation's vast water management data into digital assets and enhance the system.
Specifically, it will design and build the entire digital platform, including ▲establishing a digital infrastructure based on artificial intelligence (AI) and private cloud ▲developing a data integration management hub platform ▲and conducting pilot operations of SaaS related to water information.
Through this project, the Korea Water Resources Corporation plans to promote the digitalization of public water management systems as well as the commercialization of SaaS-based service products for global expansion in the water industry.
