Samsung Electronics announced on the 29th that it will expand its service centers providing standalone foldable phone display repairs from the existing 147 locations to 158 starting June 1.
The newly added 11 locations are ▲Euljiro and Yeouido in Seoul ▲Gosueng in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province ▲Taebaek in Gangwon Province ▲North Cheonan and Sejong in Chungcheong Province ▲Geochang, Mungyeong, Sangju, Yeongdeok, and Miryang in Gyeongsang Province.
Standalone display repairs are an environmentally friendly repair method that involves disassembling display components, borders, and cases to replace only the necessary parts, which Samsung introduced as the first in the industry.
This method aims to minimize replacements by preserving as many usable parts as possible, thereby reducing electronic waste output and also lowering the cost burden on customers.
Using standalone display repairs may increase work time slightly due to the precise disassembly and reassembly of parts, but it can reduce repair costs by an average of 26% and up to 37%.
Park Seong-je, head of the Samsung Electronics Service Technology Team, noted, “We are continuously enhancing our services to provide a differentiated Galaxy user experience,” and added, “We will achieve customer satisfaction with a service that considers both customers and the environment.”
