Raonsecure subsidiary Raonmeta announced on the 29th that it has expanded metaverse practice opportunities for foreigners preparing for caregiver certification.
Raonmeta has signed a business agreement with Daeshin University to introduce caregiver practice content for the metaverse-based practice service "Metademy." The purpose of this agreement is to support foreigners in preparing for the qualifications needed for employment as caregivers in Korea through more practical and systematic training.
The government has begun issuing specific activity visas (E-7) for foreigners who graduate from domestic universities and acquire caregiver certification starting in 2024, leading to a significant increase in the demand for education targeted at foreigners. Recently, Raonmeta has introduced multilingual features including English to the Metademy service, making it easier for foreigners to utilize the practice content.
The caregiver practice content of "Metademy" extends the existing offline-centered practice environment into the metaverse, allowing for more flexible learning. This content is currently being used at 127 locations nationwide by Visiting Angels Korea.
Yoon Won-seok, head of the Metademy business division at Raonmeta, noted, "Through this agreement, foreigners can now experience more realistic practice opportunities through the Metademy service in the process of acquiring caregiver qualifications," and added, "We will continue to collaborate with various institutions to sustainably expand the metaverse-based practice environment."
