KRAFTON's Creative Studio Unknown Worlds announced on the 28th that it will release a mobile version of its flagship title "Subnautica" on July 8 through Google Play and the Apple App Store.
"Subnautica" is an open-world survival exploration game set on an alien underwater planet, where players gather resources and craft equipment to survive. The mobile version includes all content from the original and offers high immersion for mobile devices with touch-based controls.
Launched in early access on Steam in 2014, "Subnautica" has since expanded to various consoles and platforms, with global cumulative sales of approximately 18 million copies recorded. Unknown Worlds noted that this mobile platform release further broadens the game's accessibility.
The mobile version is developed and published in collaboration with French game company PlayD, and pre-registration is currently available. It will be offered at a price discounted by 10% compared to the regular price to celebrate the launch.
Ted Gill, the representative of Unknown Worlds, said, "I am pleased that players can enjoy 'Subnautica' without a PC or console and expect that existing fans will be able to enjoy the game anywhere, anytime."
