According to SK Telecom's newsroom on that day, the company conducted SIM card replacements for 300,000 subscribers the previous day. The total number of customers who have changed their SIM cards has increased to 4.17 million. The number of customers who have reserved a SIM card replacement but have not yet done so has decreased to 4.82 million.

Following 330,000 who changed their SIM cards on the 19th, 350,000 on the 20th, and 360,000 on the 21st have completed their replacements. On the 22nd and 23rd, 310,000 and 330,000 people also replaced their SIM cards, respectively.

SK Telecom noted that the subscription to the SIM protection service remains unchanged even if the SIM card is changed or rerouted. However, in the case of eSIM, it is necessary to rejoin the SIM protection service for some devices, such as dual SIM devices prior to the Galaxy S24.

It also explained that when changing the SIM card to a new smartphone while subscribed to the SIM protection service, one should cancel the SIM protection service on the existing phone before inserting the SIM card into the new phone to complete the SIM card change. Cancellation of the SIM protection service, rejoining, and checking subscription status can be done through the T World app.
