On the 25th, AhnLab announced that its employees conducted an environmental cleanup volunteer activity at the Sunnae Wetland Ecology Center in Seongnam on the 23rd.
According to AhnLab, 35 employees participated in the volunteer activity, creating two biotopes and removing ecosystem-disrupting plants such as Japanese knotweed and invasive plants like red clover and sound weed (equivalent to 20 bags of 75 liters each).
AhnLab has been promoting regular volunteer activities since November 2023 to coexist with the local community and preserve the ecological environment, conducting cleanup activities at locations such as Wirae Neighborhood Park, Tancheon Taepyeong Wetland Ecology Center, and Sujin Wetland Ecology Center. Since March of last year, it has also signed a memorandum of understanding with the city of Seongnam for 'ESG environmental cooperation' and carried out joint volunteer activities with seven corporations in Seongnam in October.
Meanwhile, AhnLab conducts in-house training on various environmental topics, including biodiversity, and on May 12, contributed 10 million won to a reforestation project for creating bee habitats to help with wildfire recovery in the Gyeongsangbuk-do region, marking its first donation activity for biodiversity conservation.
