LG Electronics announced on the 25th that demand for air conditioners has surged this year due to continued hot and humid weather exceeding normal levels.

According to LG Electronics on that day, the cumulative sales of the LG Whisen stand air conditioner from January to April, centered on products applying artificial intelligence (AI) technology, increased by 45% compared to the same period last year.

The number of customers using air conditioners through subscriptions is also rapidly increasing. LG Electronics explained that the number of air conditioner subscription customers has more than doubled compared to last year. Subscription services provide not only product condition checks, filter replacements, and ultraviolet (UV) sterilization but also free repair benefits.

To respond to the increasing demand, LG Electronics has been fully operating its air conditioner production line located in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province, since March. Additional installation personnel have been deployed to ensure smooth product installation in line with the increase in sales.

Additionally, LG Electronics is driving sales growth by continuously introducing a variety of products such as wall-mounted, window-type, and portable air conditioners, allowing customers to choose the optimal product based on their living environment and purpose of use.
