Amazon Web Services (AWS) made public an open-source software development tool 'Strand Agent SDK' on the 21st, which allows for the development and operation of artificial intelligence (AI) agents.
Strand Agent SDK supports the development and deployment of AI agents with just a few lines of code through a model-driven approach that leverages the inference and tool usage capabilities of the latest large language models (LLMs).
Currently, the Strand Agent SDK is being used in AWS services such as Amazon Q Developer, AWS Glue, and Amazon VPC Reachability Analyzer. This SDK integrates with various model services including Amazon Bedrock, Olama, and Light LLM, and also supports custom models.
The Strand Agent SDK is released as open-source under the Apache License 2.0, allowing anyone to participate in open-source development through improvements, documentation, and more via GitHub and Discord.
