LG Electronics is collaborating with the leading laundry solutions corporations in North America to accelerate the expansion of its business-to-business (B2B) home appliance operations.

LG Electronics recently announced that it has signed a supply contract for commercial washing machines with 'CSC ServiceWorks' (hereafter referred to as CSC) in the United States on the 21st.

CSC, based in New York, is the largest specialized laundry solutions corporation in North America, operating approximately 1.5 million commercial washing and drying machines across the United States and Canada. It primarily provides sales and operation services for laundry equipment targeted at large residential facilities such as apartments, dormitories, hotels, and public laundry rooms in these settings.

With this agreement, LG Electronics has secured CSC as a customer, benefiting from its vast infrastructure in the commercial laundry market and thus expanding its market share.

Previously, LG Electronics has been achieving results in the B2B market by supplying commercial washing machines to the influential laundry solutions corporation 'Wash' since last year.

In the United States, it is common to utilize large washing and drying machines in multi-family dwellings for shared laundry spaces. In this context, commercial washing machines used by multiple people for extended periods must focus on key factors such as reducing washing times, product quality, and service convenience.

LG Electronics’ commercial washing machines intelligently detect the vibrations and rotations of the drum to shorten washing times, even for large loads. They are designed for easy maintenance with a detachable front case and a beltless inverter direct drive motor, enabling internal repairs without moving the product.

Using LG Electronics' dedicated app for commercial washing machines, 'Laundry Crew', product managers can conveniently access remote control of devices, error notifications, and smart diagnostics.

LG Electronics is speeding up its B2B market strategy by becoming the first in the industry to apply low-temperature dehumidification inverter heat pump technology to commercial all-in-one washer-dryers, enhancing drying performance and energy efficiency to boost product competitiveness.

Additionally, it provides fast and professional maintenance services utilizing over 1,900 service centers across North America.

According to market research firm Research and Markets, the U.S. commercial washing machine market size was approximately $1.43 billion (about 2.4 trillion won) last year and is expected to grow at an average annual rate of 5.6% until 2029.

Kim Sang-yong, Executive Vice President in charge of HS at LG Electronics USA, said, 'We will establish ourselves as a solid leader in the global commercial washing machine and dryer market, leveraging industry-leading technology and proven brand trust.'
