KT announced on the 18th that it invited 22 children with hearing impairments and their families from the KT Dream Classroom to the Suwon KT Wiz Park in the Jangan-gu area of Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, for the "Children's Dream Tour" event on the 16th, in celebration of May, the month of families.
The Children's Dream Tour is a family-friendly program operated by KT for its employees' children, which KT has expanded this year into a social contribution activity. Children from the KT Dream Classroom who participated in the event engaged in activities such as throwing balls and experiencing batting in the practice room at Suwon KT Wiz Park, and toured facilities such as the press room and power analysis room at the baseball park, gaining new experiences that are not easily accessible on a regular basis. They also enjoyed various physical activities like running and treasure hunting on the ground where players compete, spending time with their families and making new friends.
Meanwhile, KT has been continuously conducting social contribution activities for sound recovery since 2003 by operating the KT Dream Classroom in collaboration with four university hospitals nationwide for the rehabilitation treatment of children who have undergone cochlear implant surgery.
Oh Tae-sung, senior manager of KT's ESG management promotion department, said, "KT has expanded the Children's Dream Tour as a social contribution activity, moving beyond just family-friendly programs for employees, fulfilling its corporate social responsibility. We will actively utilize KT's infrastructure to broaden opportunities for people from various social strata to communicate with society in the future."
