A message input status display feature that allows users to check whether the other person is typing a message will be added to KakaoTalk. However, since this is still a trial feature before the official release, users can deactivate this feature in the KakaoTalk Lab section if they do not wish to use it.

According to the information and communication technology (ICT) industry on the 15th, Kakao conducted an update for the latest version of KakaoTalk (24.5.0) on the 13th. If the other person is typing a message in a KakaoTalk chat room, yellow dots ('…') will appear, informing users of the conversation readiness in real time.

However, this feature is a trial function prior to the official launch. Users can choose whether to activate it in the KakaoTalk Lab section, allowing them not to use this feature. If they deactivate the 'view message input status' option, they will not be able to confirm their own status or the status of the other person's message input.

Regarding the addition of this feature, Kakao explained, "We have applied the 'message input indication feature' in the KakaoTalk Lab to support users' communication and ensure the flow of conversation is not interrupted, providing an experience similar to actual offline conversations."
