To mark its 40th anniversary, Canon Korea plans to leap forward as a 'total imaging solution' corporation that integrates office equipment and camera businesses. In the rapidly changing content production environment, it will position itself as the strongest player in the full-frame video sector.

Jeong Byeong-rim, head of the marketing division at Canon Korea, noted on the 15th during a media roundtable event held at Canonplex in Gangnam, Seoul.

Canon Korea entered the domestic market in 1985 as 'Lotte Canon', a joint venture between the Korean Lotte Group and Japanese Canon. In November 2021, Canon Korea re-emerged as a 'total imaging solution' corporation, integrating the management of office equipment and camera business sectors.

Canon Korea stated that it plans to lead the video production market based on its technological prowess and product strength, as well as a creator-centric strategy. Since 2023, Canon Korea has maintained its position as the number one in the domestic inkjet printer market for two consecutive years and has maintained its global number one position in interchangeable lens cameras for 22 consecutive years from 2003 to 2024. Interchangeable lens cameras refer to digital cameras that allow users to change lenses according to shooting environments, situations, or subject types.

Lee Se-cheol, head of the sales division at Canon Korea, said, 'Canon Korea has grown in tandem with the market over the past 40 years,' and 'based on its competitiveness in office equipment and video fields, we will promote a user-centered strategy that is ahead of customer demands with a unique product lineup.'

Canon Korea currently has development, production, export, and sales capabilities through its domestic factories and research institutes. It has expanded its product portfolio from commercial high-speed printing machines to large printers, inkjet and laser printers, and scanners.

In the camera business sector, it is targeting the market by launching products such as the EOS series, specialized in optical technology and mirrorless video shooting. Canon plans to showcase products centered on features that enhance convenience for creators, such as advanced autofocus (AF) technology and skin tone optimization.
