AI semiconductor and service startups in South Korea, including Furiosa AI and Vessel AI Korea, have established a foothold for their expansion into the eastern United States in New York.

On the 15th, the Ministry of Science and ICT announced that it has selected 10 AI startups as targets for supporting entry into the eastern U.S. market and will provide space and infrastructure at the 'Global AI Frontier Lab' at New York University.

The Global AI Frontier Lab is a hub established within New York University to help domestic startups more easily enter the eastern U.S. market.

Representatives of the targeted corporations will receive support for completing the entrepreneurship support program at the Stern School of Business and for devising local entry strategies.

The targeted startups selected from a competitive ratio of 4.6 to 1 include Flitto, McKinley Rice, Nubilab, Exosystems, The Sleep Factory, Vessel AI Korea, Quantt, Furiosa AI, StratIO Korea, and Design Noble.

In the second half of the year, another 10 companies are expected to be selected for support in entering the U.S. market.
