NEOWIZ reported a consolidated revenue of 89 billion won and an operating profit of 10.2 billion won for the first quarter of 2025.
Revenue decreased by 1% compared to the previous quarter and 8% year-over-year, but operating profit increased by 49% from the previous quarter, demonstrating a significant improvement in profitability. Net profit stood at 6.1 billion won, returning to profitability compared to the previous quarter, but fell by 57% from the same period last year.
By institutional sector, PC/console game revenue was 36.4 billion won, as 'Lie of P' continued to show stable performance in the global market, though it decreased by 18% year-over-year due to the removal of the initial launch effect. In contrast, mobile game revenue reached 45.3 billion won, increasing by 5% and 3% compared to the previous quarter and the previous year, respectively. 'Brown Dust 2' recorded growth for the fifth consecutive quarter thanks to content updates and a strategy for expanding global users.
Other revenue, including advertising and rental income, was 7.3 billion won, falling by 19% from the previous quarter and 13% year-over-year.
NEOWIZ plans to focus on stable management of existing intellectual properties (IPs) this year, along with the discovery of new narrative-centered IPs. 'Lie of P' is poised for a summer update alongside the release of the DLC 'Prelude,' aiming for a performance rebound through the development of a successor and the expansion of global partnerships.
'Brown Dust 2' will strengthen its global fandom by expanding online and offline touchpoints, with various events marking its 2nd anniversary in June, including a collaboration with the Japanese animation 'Goblin Slayer II' and participation in 'PlayX4.'
Additionally, new publishing titles include the narrative-focused indie game 'Hello Seoul: Itaewon Edition' and the MOBA roguelike action 'Shape of Dreams,' which gained attention by being selected as one of the top 10 games at 'Steam Next Fest.'
Subsidiary Pow Games will also work to improve performance through the market entry of 'Kingdom 2' and 'Legend of Heroes' in Japan and Taiwan.
