KT Cloud announced on the 12th that it participated in the world’s largest international cyber defense exercise, Locked Shields 2025, organized by the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCDCOE).
Locked Shields is a real-time cyber attack and defense exercise held annually since 2010 by the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence to strengthen crisis response cooperation among member countries. South Korea has officially participated since 2021.
This year’s exercise involved 45 domestic public, private, and military institutions and more than 170 security experts, making it the largest scale in history.
KT Cloud conducted the exercise from the 5th to the 9th to prepare for cyber conflict scenarios between virtual nations, taking on the real-time cyber defense missions for major information and communication infrastructures, including 5G networks.
KT Cloud explained that it responded to cyber attacks based on various scenarios, including vulnerability analysis of major communication systems, threat detection, malware dissemination prevention, and real-time responses based on intrusion indicators.
